Our focus is to breed horses with great conformation, cow sense and athletic ability. We have ventured out in our breeding program by including the influence of Australian Stock Horses. Our goal is to add the Australian blood into our program to add bone, better hips, a cool mind and of course an outcross for the cutting/reining bred horses. Australian Stock Horses are known for their laid back attitude, great conformation, cow sense and athletic ability. The Australian Stock Horse Society's motto is "THE BREED FOR EVERY NEED", and they seem to do just that. From cattle work to jumping, to driving and line classes, these horses stand up to tough conditions while staying sound, and look good doing it.
Although we were only recently established as Double T Performance Horses a few years ago, we have been showing, breeding, starting and selling horses for over 30 years. We aim to have some of the best bloodlines that the industry has to offer no matter what discipline we were/are in. Starting with Morgans, we moved on to Quarter Horses that were bred for western pleasure. After showing in the pleasure scene for years, I sat on my first cutting horse...the rest is history.
We are a small breeding farm in southwestern Ontario, only producing 1-3 foals a year. Our motto is "quality, not quantity". For close to 15 years now, we have bred and raised cutting and reining bred horses that have went on to excel in their new homes. We have also bought and sold horses that have went on to outstanding careers with their new owners. We have added Paints to our broodmare band as a little bit of color is very nice to look out at. Most recently, we have added Australian Stock Horses to our program as well. Although Avalon (our first Australian Stock Horse) is too young to breed yet, we look forward to her future as the ambassador of her breed here in Ontario and surrounding provinces and states. We will be crossing our Quarter Horse cutting/reining bred mares with Australian Stock Horse Stallions to add better bone, better hips, better top-lines & better feet without losing any of the cow sense that we breed for. We will also still be breeding full blooded Quarter Horses and Paints.
We look forward to this new adventure in the horse world. We have made some great friends along the way and look forward to the future.
